About Nat

Welcome to my blog. I was born in Houston, currently live in New York City, and have lived in a bunch of other places, including New Orleans, Lafayette (Louisiana), The Hague (Netherlands), Aberdeen (Scotland), and Philadelphia. I went to school at The University of Pennsylvania (Wharton School), graduating in 2008 cum laude.
I’m an entrepreneur by trade. I had a bunch of random companies before I went to college, including a web development and hosting company, a reptile-breeding operation (seriously), and a website allowing users to buy/swap gift cards. In college I also co-founded an online food ordering website with a few classmates. In 2007, I co-founded and was CEO of Invite Media, an ad technology company that built a media buying software platform for banner ads. We were acquired by Google three years later (June, 2010) and now have 75+ employees in seven offices around the world.
In my free time, I enjoy golfing and fishing as well as playing basketball. I absolutely despise running. I am a huge music fan, whereby I’ve been convinced I was born in the wrong era due to my tastes in classic rock and blues. I am also an avid sports card collector, ranging from modern basketball to vintage baseball and golf cards.
I am also now doing angel investing and advising, working with entrepreneurs who have the product/technical ability to build interesting and disruptive companies.
If you’d like to find a time to chat, my email address is natsturner@gmail.com. I can’t promise I’ll respond, but I’ll do my best.
